Information

Improve your plotting and navigation skills with a spring caper round the lanes of Anglesey. The 25-mile route in the south of Anglesey will feature six-figure grid references, triangles and spot heights. Plenty of help with plotting will be available at the start for beginners and anyone who would like a few pointers.
This is the perfect opportunity to brush up on navigational skills. The rally will have a Treasure Hunt format with 55 symbols hidden on Class B, yellow and white roads throughout the route - all visible from the car. The event begins in a classroom in David Hughes Leisure Centre with signing on at 6.45pm, with a Drivers Briefing and route handout at 7pm.
Please note that late arrival unfortunately for signing-on reduces your plotting/driving time, not to mention helpful information in the briefing. The finish line will be in a warm and friendly pub at 9.30pm, with results announced within half an hour. Everyone is welcome to join us for a drink and natter while we compile results.
Ordnance Survey Map 114 or 115 is required, and those who completed on the St Dwynwen’s Navigation Run will be able to re-use their 114 map as we venture to a different part of the island.
Entry is £10 per car and club membership is required - application forms will be available if you wish to join on the night (£15 per member, £20 for family membership) and are also available here if you wish to complete the form in advance - Become A Member.
We really hope you can join us, especially beginners, novices and new members. A warm welcome to all.
